While visiting relatives in Virginia, Jessica gets caught up in a bizarre investigation following the death of her host Denton Langley; the victim of an apparent riding accident. When his daughter shares her suspicions with Jessica that his death was no accident, Jessica soon discovers that Denton left his estate to his dog and that several family members are trying their best to make it look like the dog was the killer so they could get their share of his money.
