While in New York visiting her niece Nita, Jessica gets caught up in the world of daytime drama when the head writer of Nita’s soap opera is murdered in her office at home. When the show’s production team and police suspect Nita is the killer since the writer planned on writing her out of the show as a storyline serial killer, Jessica is certain that Nita is innocent and sets out to find the actual murderer. Through the course of her investigation, Jessica discovers that several of Nita’s co-stars have secrets that they were willing to kill in order to keep from coming out and tries to urge them to come forward to clear her niece.
