When Sheriff Tupper decides to take an early retirement and hand the job over to Harry Pierce, the residents of Cabot Cove soon become besieged with letters full of gossip and an apparent murder investigation when a young woman is found electrocuted in her bath. While trying to help Harry and Amos investigate what is going on, Jessica becomes busier when a driven young travel writer comes to town and asks for her help in putting Cabot Cove on the map. Thanks to the writer’s clever investigative journalism, Jessica is able track down the truth behind the girl’s death and is shocked at what she finds.
