Following his retirement, Lt. Bernard Kale makes a vow that now he has free time, he solve the only murder case that eluded being closed: the drowning of friend Lowel Dixon at nearby lake. Since Dixon’s death occurred during a property development scandal that included Seth, Jessica decides to go to Juniper Lake to help Kale straighten things out. However, once all the old suspects arrive at the lake, it doesn’t take long for a new murder to take place; ultimately forcing Jessica and Lt. Kale to work with the local sheriff to figure out if the murder is connected to Kale’s unsolved case from 10 years ago.
