Following the parole of Jessica’s former publisher Preston Giles, she gets a visit from him when he tries to talk her into come back to his publishing house. When a rival winds up dead in a nearby office, Preston is the prime suspect and Jessica sets out to determine whether Preston was framed or if he decided killed again.
