During romance novelist Sibella Stone’s visit to Cabot Cove, her assistant is murdered following a dinner party. When Jessica starts helping Sheriff Metzger and Deputy Andy with the investigation, they learn that several people in her entourage have their secrets. Upon learning that the assistant’s secret involved Sibella’s husband, Jessica and the authorities suspect that Sibella could possibly have discovered what her assistant was hiding and killed her in retaliation.
