After meeting Leslie Walden, a young piano prodigy and her strict mentor to discuss the piece she will be playing at a museum benefit, Jessica starts to wonder why he would rather have Leslie focus on her career instead of playing at the benefit. When he is later found dead playing a new composition on his piano, the police suspect that Leslie’s father, a down on his luck clarinet player, is the murderer. However, thanks to an unusual note on the musical composition, Jessica is able to prove the innocence of Leslie’s father and find the real murderer.
