 "My Mother the Car" Summary

My Mother the Car was a show about an attorney, who buys an antique car, only to find that his long deceased mother's ghost possessed it. Considered by many critics as one of the worst sitcoms ever, My Mother the Car starred Jerry Van Dyke as attorney Dave Crabtree and Ann Sothern provided the voice of his mother, Gladys. Van Dyke had earlier turned down the title role in Gilligan's Island in order to appear in this show. NBC mercifully pulled the plug after only one season on the air.
