Episode Notes |
| |
The End of Evangelion is divided up into two episodes, "Air" and "My Purest Heart for You", which are retellings of Original TV episodes 25 and 26. They compliment the original episodes by covering what occurs outside of the protagonists' minds. | In "My Purest Heart for You", just after Shinji begins to strangle Asuka, crudely drawn pictures and mail is displayed on the screen. Director Hideaki Anno incorporated selections of the hate mail that GAINAX had received about the TV ending of Neon Genesis Evangelion into the movie. |
