Trouble brews when Stephanie and Joanna decide to open their own fitness club, but Steph becomes the pushy manager and gives Joanna the job of cleaning up the shop. Meanwhile, Dick is enjoying the new doughnut shop which has opened in town.
While alone at Michael's apartment, Stephanie takes a glimpse at his diary, leaving she and Joanna upset over his comments about them.

While fixing up the diner, Larry receives an electrical shock and is brought back to life by Dick. Now Larry believes he has something to do for Dick and will not leave him alone until it's completed.
A case of the measles has the staff at the inn stuck in bed, all that is except George and Stephanie. But soon George comes down with the same symptoms and Steph is left to manage the Stratford by herself.
A ghost seems to be haunting the Stratford Inn, and it appears to be the spirit of Sarah Newton, the body who lies buried in the inn's basement. But Dick isn't convinced, simply because he doesn't believe in ghosts. But it is Stephanie who comes to the rescue after growing tired of all this "spooky stuff."
Dick is less than enthusiastic that Joanna wants to renew their wedding vows for their upcoming anniversary.
Larry, Darryl and Darryl come to the rescue when the town is set into a panic because of a heat wave as the annual Snow Carnival approaches. The guys say they can produce snow on any given day, but demand a paycheck of $2,000 first.
When is being Dick Loudon a bad thing? When a video company expresses an interest in bringing one of his books, "You Can Be A Plumber" to video. But the director insists that Dick be replaced because he has shifty eyes and a stammer in his speech pattern.
