| "Presence": Led Zeppelin
The episode title is a reference to Presence, the seventh album, released in 1976, by Led Zeppelin. | Colonel Kurtz: Apocalypse Now
At the beginning of the episode, a new mixing board is brought into the office. Dave thinks it's from Mr. James and asks if the owner mentioned it, "or has Colonel Kurtz gone upriver again?" The line is a reference to the 1979 Francis Ford Coppola Vietnam War movie Apocalypse Now, where Captain Benjamin L. Willard must go upriver to bring back the defecting Colonel Walter E. Kurtz. | Courtesy Of
Just after the Co-Star list in the end credits, the caption "Boba Fett Courtesy of - J.T. Hutt" is displayed. The caption, which relates to the Boba Fett figure used in the episode, is a reference to the Star Wars movies in which Boba Fett was in the employ of Jabba the Hutt. |
