The honorable Judge Harry T. Stone is a young hip, jeans wearing, liberal eccentric; and he presides over New York Manhattan Night Court, which deals with petty crimes that can usually be dealt with in a dime-a-dozen manner. He's assisted by a motley crew of clerks and District Attorneys who often create as much chaos as the criminals they bring in for trial. Those who worked in Judge Harry's courtroom were almost as wacky as the defendants. Selma was the caustic, chain-smoking matron; Bull, the naive, six-foot-eight, bald bailiff; Asst. D.A. Dan Fielding, an unscrupulous, well-dressed, sex-starved, put-down artist; Mac, the sensible court clerk; and Christine, the sexy defense attorney.
