Dutton: I was too drunk.

A play on the title of the radio (1949-1954) and television (1954-1960) program Father Knows Best, which starred Robert Young.

Harry: Gil Hodges!
Lana: What?
Harry: I was trying all day to think of the name of the guy who played first base for the Dodgers in '52.

Gil Hodges (1924-1972) briefly played third base and catcher before moving to first base for the Brooklyn Dodgers, winning the World Series in 1955. After his playing career ended he managed the Washington Senators and won the 1969 World Series with the New York Mets.
