Recap

Mr. Landau goes to the docks to meet with Bullivant, an elderly exporter who promises that he can get Landau out of the country for $15,000. Landau wants assurances, noting he’ll be on Death Row if he doesn’t escape, and Bullivant says that he has an unsullied reputation during his 47 years in the “business.” In all that time, he hasn’t had one customer complaint. Episode Quotes
Host: Here we have a cameo dandy. Problem: how to flee the coop. How to make tracks away from the police and unhappy peers. Ship out to safer climes. The story of a chap, who, if he had it to do over again, would have remained where he was. He finds out that he is precisely what is the title of the picture, Dead Weight.

Bullivant: Two bank guards, one teller, and a six-year-old child. I suppose the child was necessary?
Landau: He got in the way of a bullet. What was I supposed to do, whistle it back? There was lead flying all over the place. Besides, what was a kid his age doing on the street at ten o'clock in the morning? Why wasn't he in school where he belonged? Why wasn't he in school?
Bullivant: Well, I guess that'll teach the little rascal not to play hooky.
