Jubei Wind Ninja Chronicles: Dragon Stone Chapter is directed by Tatsuo Sato and continues the adventures of mercenary ninja Jubei Kibagami fourteen years after he defeated Himuro Genma, the immortal warrior, and stopping the Shogun of the Dark in the highly acclaimed film Ninja Scroll (1993). With feudal Japan as the setting, not much has changed for Jubei and his quest to find a peaceful place to live, until one day he interferes with a fight between two warring clans, the Hiruko and the Kimon. He now finds himself in possession of a very sacred artifact, the Dragon Stone. A dying Hiruko ninja tells him he must deliver the stone to the Light Maiden. Confused and constantly on the run from ninjas seeking the mysterious artifact, Jubei is joined by the government spy Dakuan, the young thief Tsubute, and the beautiful girl, Shigure, whose village was destroyed by the Kimon.
With interesting characters, designed by Takahiro Yoshimatsu, and an original script written by Toshiki Inoue, Jubei Wind Ninja Chronicles: Dragon Stone Chapter was a successful follow-up to its film predecessor, ranking in Nielsen VideoScan's top 25 Anime titles of 2004.
The English Dubbed version can be found here.
