In a tragic tale of life's misfortunes we meet Zoufu, a Hiruko ninja who shares his body with an unwanted parasite. He saves Shigure from several members of the Yagyu Family. The Yagyu are now the most trusted of the Shogun's clans, who are out to kill her in order to stop the Kimon and Hiruko from unlocking the Lost Dynasty's treasure. Zoufu explains to Shigure why she is the Light Maiden and what her role is in the Hiruko Clan's plan to free themselves.
