Everyone must face their worst fears as Brooke grapples with returning Angie to her parents and Lucas deals with the fallout of his actions following the fight at the game. As Haley has a musical breakthrough, Peyton must deal with a ghost from her past. Meanwhile, Nathan and Jamie face their fears together.

| The song that Gavin DeGraw and Jamie sing at the beginning of the episode is the series' theme song, "I Don't Want To Be." The segments of the song that they sing are the exact segments that were used in the previous four seasons for the theme song. With the song being sung, this is the only season 5 episode that featured the theme song.

Lucas: You mean your slutty little tramp stamp?
Haley: I am so barely your friend right now.

Nathan is referencing his own accident which occurred in "I Forgot to Remember to Forget". In his accident, Nathan gets into a fight and is thrown through a plate glass window at a bar. Following his accident, he begins drinking frequently, similar to Lucas' current condition.
