Perry Mason [Title Character], played by Raymond Burr
Perry Mason is a well-known attorney in Los Angeles in the late 1950s - early 1960s. He is particularly adept at getting his clients out of apparently hopeless situations, typically a murder rap that on the surface looks like an open and shut case. Perry served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He is single, but there is on-going innuendo that he has some romantic involvement with his secretary/assistant, Della Street. They seem to have dinner together frequently at fashionable LA restaurants of the era.
Perry has a penchant for driving the convertibles of the show's current sponsor to enjoy the sunny climate of Southern California. |
