Machine Empire forces loyal to King Mondo excavate Lord Zedd's zord, Serpenterra, on the moon. To counter the danger posed by Serpenterra, former Red Zeo Ranger Tommy Oliver recruits nine more Red Ranges to assist him in a decisive battle with the Machine armies.

The Machine General's costumes are recycled from Saban's Big Bad Beetle Borgs.

This episode is also in a way a Tribute to the Japan version special Growl Ranger Vs. Super Task Force which featured 25 Red Rangers dating back to Japan's Secret Task Force 5 Ranger (Show #01)

Rocky was the only previous Red Ranger to not appear in the episode.

This episode was a "loose sequel" to a PR fanfilm produced by several fans years ago, amongst those fans was the writer of this very episode.

The figures Skull is playing with at the beginning of this episodes are the Ranger/Psycho Ranger figurines from Power Rangers in Space.
