In the Season finale -> Rite Repulsa Returned as the Mystic Mother.
In my opinion I thought that, that was the perfect way to pay homage to Machiko Soga, by using her final footage ever, as a part of the Power Rangers / Super Sentai community. However, what I don't get it what happened to Lord Zedd? |

I'm more of the opinion it was an ass backwards, retarded, idiotic, petty idea that was conceived made simply to score sympathy points with fans (who more or less have been urinating on this season) at the expense of something that could have made sense |
