  Season 1 (Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers)  
When an evil sorceress by the name of Rita Repulsa is accidentally freed from the flying dumpster that she's been trapped for over 10,000 years, an intergalactic being named Zordon equips five Angel Grove teens with super powers in order to do battle with her.

Jason is made the Red Ranger, harnessing the power of the Tyrannosaurus; Trini, the Yellow Ranger, with the power of the Saber toothed Tiger; Zack, the Black Ranger with the power of the Mastodon; Kimberly, the Pink Ranger, with the power of the Pterodactyl and Billy is made the Blue Ranger with the power of the Triceratops. With their power coins, they are able to morph into the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and access their giant dinosaur Zords when Rita sends her army of putties or monster creations down to Earth.

Shortly after, it is discovered that there is a sixth power coin, which Rita decides to use for evil. She chooses Tommy to be the new Green Ranger and sends him and his DragonZord to battle the Rangers. Eventually the Rangers are able to break Rita's spell and Tommy joins the Rangers, making it now a total of 6 Rangers on the side of good.
