Episode Summary

Jim Prufrock, investigative agent for the Carson City branch of the IRS, receives a mysterious fax from the Versailles Casino in Push, Nevada. When Jim calls the sender and gets only an angry brush-off, Jim decides to go to Push to investigate.

Jim enters Sloman's Slo-dance Bar where he meets Mary, who warns him (vaguely) that there is danger in town. He also meets Silas Bodnick at the Versailles Casino, who is definitely crooked, and potentially dangerous.

Jim tries to leave Push, but finds himself drawn back into its mysteries.
