The son of a rebel, Aileric of Loxley, Robin of Loxley was put under the care of the local miller when the village of Loxley was put to the sword by the Sheriff of Nottingham. Aileric would never return to claim his son.
Robin grew up with the miller's son,
Much, and one day they meet misfortune. As Much is hunting a deer, and Robin trying to stop him, they meet Sir Guy of Gisburne, who takes them to Nottingham. While in the dungeon, Robin unites the prisoners in a revolt and leads them to Sherwood.
In Sherwood he meets Herne the Hunter, a forest God, who claims that Robin is his son. Although Robin scoffs at first, he soon heeds the call, and passionately unites the men. After rescuing Marion from the Castle Belleme, he soon has her heart and they marry.
After a long battle, and a well led gang, finally the end came. Standing alone on the top of a hill so that Marion and Much could escape, he stood against the Sheriff and his men, until they finally overtook him.
