Sir Guy of Gisburne: (rushes in the Sergeant's office of Lichfield) Sum all your men and follow me!
(Sparrow and a companion look up astonished)
Sir Guy of Gisburne: I'm Sir Guy of Gisburne!
Sergeant Sparrow: I don't care who you are!
You can't just burst in on a Sheriff's sergeant like that! It's not how we do things in Lichfield!
Sir Guy of Gisburne: There are five wanted men in Lichfield!
Sergeant Sparrow: Five? I wouldn't buy if there was five or even fifty-five.
Sir Guy of Gisburne: These men are dangerous outlaws! With a price on their heads.
Sergeant Sparrow: (shouting) Ambrose!
(Ambrose appears at the doorstep)
Ambrose: Yes, cousin Sparrow?
Sergeant Sparrow: (pointing at Gisburne) This is Sir Guy of Ginsbone.
Sir Guy of Gisburne: (yelling) Gisburne!
Sergeant Sparrow: Allright, allright - no need for shouting! Where are the villains?
Sir Guy of Gisburne: In the inn at the end of the street.
Ambrose: It's Scathlock's place, cousin Sparrow.
Sergeant Sparrow: I know what it is, cousin Ambrose! (pause, Sparrow in measured voice) Scathlock. (pours out a mug of ale for himself and drinks it) Serves the finest ale in Lichfield. |
