Jon Sable (Lewis Van Bergen) is a freelance mercenary and gun for hire who lives in New York City and writes children's stories under the pen name Nicholas Fleming. But when it comes time to take on the bad guys, he paints his face with tribal markings, dons his black bodysuit, and goes out to fight crime. Helping him is Joe "Cheesecake" Tyson (Ken Page) and his love interest, Eden Kendall (Rene Russo). Based on the comic book series by Mike Grell.
