"The Secret World of Alex Mack" was about a girl, Alex Mack (Larisa Oleynik), who got hit by a truck, which contaminated her with a mysterious chemical called GC-161. This ended up changing her life forever as it gave her a few strange powers. Among these were the ability to zap things, the ability to move objects with her mind, and the ability to turn into 'Capri Sun' and slither around as she pleases.
The only people that know her secret are her best friend Ray and her sister Annie, who thinks Alex is her science project (as Alex states in the shows opening). She has to keep this secret from everyone else, including her own parents... The evil people at the plant, Danielle Atron and Vince, know that a kid was contaminated with the chemical and will stop at nothing to find them, in order to be able run all sorts of experiments and tests.
This series ran on Nickelodeon for 4 years, and is currently no longer airing here in the states.
