Teddy ends up getting a job as fixing up window displays at a very chic women's clothing shop. While there, she suddenly has a sharp pain in her stomach and realizes that she is suffering a miscarriage. She goes to the hospital but tells no one of what happened.
Reed and Alex enter the Women's League mother/daughter costume competition. In the end the two end up losing, which angers Reed. Alex was just happy that she got the chance to do something fun with her daughter but Reed is still fuming. Reed reveals to Alex that she only wanted to win because she was going to use the prize money to return back to Paris with since neither she nor her father will give her the money. Alex, in turn, decides to write Reed a check and tells her to leave if she wants because it does not bother her. In the end, Reed realizes that she was being selfish and decides to stay in America.
Frankie is given a major account to handle by her boss. However, it seems to her that the client, Max Weldon, is more interested in her than he is in the work she is doing. Frankie is shocked when Max ends up praising her work to her boss and she ends up getting the job of being the vice president of the company.
