1x4: Question: Whatever Happened to Ezra? recap: Guest star Ed Wyn, as spry old Ezra Tallicott, bicycles 60 miles to the capital to enlist State Representative Slattery's support in high fight against the threatened closing of an unusual home for the elderly in "Question: What Ever Happened to Ezra?" on "Slattery's People" on the CBS television network. The 77-year-old Wynn, after a brilliant career as a comedian, began a new career as a dramatic actor as a septuagenarian, to great critical and public acclaim. Richard Crenna, starring as Slattery, investigates Ezra's claim and learns that the age residents of a hospital have a new lease on life because of the unorthodox methods of its aggressive director, Dr. Robert Kelly, played by Richard Kiley. When he tries to keep the hospital open, Slattery finds himself opposing not only his own party but the state's influential director of mental hygiene, Dr. James Freeman, played by David White.
