Recap

It's the police department's annual shooting competition. Trunk goes first and gets a near-perfect score, coming within a few seconds of the record. Sledge takes to the course and shoots... everything. Although he gets 0 points on judgment, he wins on speed and accuracy and knocks a few seconds off of his old record. As they get back to the station, Hammer talks about how he owes his shooting skills to his father. Trunk notes that Hamer still hasn't broken the all-time departmental record, made by a John Kogan. Hamer angrily insists that Kogan's record should have been stricken by records. Doreau arrives, dressed as a a call girl for an undercover mission, and tells Hammer that she's picked up a tip that an informant has information on a prison breakout by someone with a grudge against Hammer...

Episode Quotes
Hammer: I was born with in a gun with my hand. Chief reason why I could never get babysitted.

Trunk: Is that a silencer?
Hammer: No, it’s not a silencer. This little doodad is my own invention. I call it a “loudener.”

Trunk: (answering machine) This is Captain Trunk. I can’t come to the phone right now so leave a message. If this is you, Hammer, never call me again at home.

Woman: You can’t leave me here. It’s a hundred thirty degrees!
John Kogan: Yeah, but it’s a dry heat.

John Kogan: Let me kill you! Then I promise I'll never never do it again!

Hammer: I know this man, he is bad. His childhood goal was to be an astronaut. He wanted to be the first man to kill someone on the Moon.

Doreau: What happened?
Hammer: It’s a long story. We grew up together, we were best friends, he went bad. Well, it’s not a long story.

Hammer: And if I don’t walk away from this, you promise me one thing.
Doreau: What’s that?
Hammer: You’ll tell Trunk I won’t be home in the morning.

Hammer: Go ahead, make my day.
John Kogan: You’re the disease, I’m the cure.
Hammer: May the Force be with you. Forget the clichés!

Hammer: Captain, that was excessively violent and complete unnecessary. I loved that! I love when that happens. Like when you break something. Boom! I love to see it hit, you see how it blew up. Did you get into it?
