Episode Quotes
Doreau: Hammer, did you read the paper?
Sledge: No, I stopped getting it in the morning after my neighbor stopped having it delivered. What a jerk.
Hammer: You know, that's what I hate about newspapers in this country. They find out things, and then they write about them!
Doreau: Hammer, now that the Syndicate has this information they'll do anything to keep Trunk quiet.
Hammer: Yeah, fat chance. He's louder than most airports.
(about Hammer)
Trunk: My life is in the hands of a man who causes injuries over the telephone.
Hammer: What can I say? I'm expanding.
Doreau: Well, you may be hard-pressed to admit it, sir, but Hammer did save your life.
Trunk: Yes. Thank you, Hammer. You saved my life.
Hammer: You'd do the same for me, sir.
Trunk: Oh, you wish.
Doreau: Hammer, he's not in any danger. He used to be married to that woman.
Hammer: Oh listen. Anybody who's alone with his ex-wife is in danger.
Trunk: Hammer, I'm exhausted. I'm going to get a good night's sleep and insult you in the morning.
Hammer: Real men don't need women.
Trunk: Hammer, without women you would never have been born.
Hammer: Prove it.
Doreau: My God, don't you ever show any emotion?
Sledge: Doreau, I show a whole range of emotion. Anger, rage, hate. Hate.
Fifth Cop: Hold it right there. Why did the chicken cross the road?
Hammer: To avoid the death penalty.
Fifth Cop: Go right in, Inspector.
Hammer: Guess who thought up that password?
Doreau: You?
Hammer: You're no fun any more.
Doreau: Captain, Hammer's been gone a long time. Something must have happened to him.
Trunk: Thank you, Doreau, for giving me a reason to live.
Trunk: We're spending the weekend at Lake Tahoe
Doreau: That's romantic, sir. I guess she realizes there are worse things in life than being married to a cop.
Hammer: Like being beat up by one.
