Episode Notes

Originally, Hillary Clinton was asked to play herself in this episode. Her advisors actually tried to push her to do it but she eventually turned it down. Teresa Barnwell got the role instead and has gone on to become one of the most hired impressionists of the former First Lady to this day.

FOX failed to air the episodes in order. In the first season this episode was meant to air 5th, but instead aired 7th.

Episode Quotes

Rembrandt: I'm getting awfully tired of landing on my butt. Can't you do something about that?
Quinn: You know I can't. I think you ask just to annoy me a little.
Rembrandt: Actually, I ask to annoy you a lot. Little by little, I'm getting even with you, Q-Ball.

Rembrandt: I got 31 cents.
Wade: I've got a $5 bill, but I am not wasting it on a lousy pretzel.
Arturo: What do you mean, "wasting it"? I haven't eaten since yesterday.
Rembrandt: Well, none of us have. And why should you get to have a pretzel? I'd like a pretzel just as much as you.
Arturo: Oh, this is ridiculous. We'll divide it two ways.
Quinn: Three ways.
Wade: Four ways.

Arturo: They laughed at Ross Perot.
Wade: They still do.

Episode Goofs

Where did Wade get a suit from to do the interview? Last time we checked, they don't take any clothing other than what's on their back from world to world.

If this is a world where the roles of men have been downgraded to what they were for women in the 50's, then why is there a man working the newsstand when the group first lands? Wouldn't it be a woman since they all have the jobs?

Where did they get the almanac from? Most newstands don't stock these items, and even if this one did, how did they manage to pay for it, since the Sliders barely had enough money for a pretzel?

With women in positions of power, wouldn't they have changed the currency to reflect their disdain of men?

When the group goes to slide out of "Woman World," the door behind Arturo keeps opening and closing at different takes.

Moment: Brick-Bomb Threat

The brick through the window is similar to the politics' Brick-Bomb Threat. The Brick-Bomb Threat was a story that arose during the 1960 Presidential Election. Apparently, someone threw a brick through the Nixon headquarters window, then called up threatening to throw a bomb next time.
