"Small Wonder" Summary |
| |
Small Wonder was about a family with a robot daughter named Vicki (or, technically, V.I.C.I.--Voice Input Child Identicant). She was built to look like a beautiful 10-year-old girl. She wore a red dress with a white pinafore and white knee-socks and Mary Jane pumps and her hair in a rolled ponytail in nearly every episode. Vicki (played by Tiffany Brissette), was built by Ted Lawson (played by Dick Christie). Ted had a wife named Joan Lawson (played by Marla Pennington) and a human son named Jamie Lawson (played by Jerry Supiran). The Lawsons passed Vicki off as their adopted daughter. They also had nosy neighbors, the Brindles. There was Harriet Brindle (played by Emily Schulman), who had a huge crush on Jamie and thought she was destined to marry him; Bonnie Brindle, Harriet's mother (played by Edie McClurg); and Brandon Brindle, Harriet's father (played by William Bogert), who just so happened to be Ted's boss at the fictional firm United Robotronics. Jamie also had a best friend named Reggie Williams (played by Paul C. Scott).
