The episode opens with Tim on the pavement and Daisy in the window of the second floor (talking to someone below, who we believe to be Tim because of the way the cameras switch between Tim and Daisy). But, soon the truth is revealed that she is talking to some bum and Tim is pleading with his now ex-girlfriend, Sarah...Read the full recap
The guy outside Daisy's window at the beginning of the episode, is their real-life friend, Dave.
The opening scene was one of the final scenes shot; and the close shots show the pavement wet, and by the time they filmed the wide shots it had dried, so they had to hose it down to maintain continuity.

And this guy's called The Bear, all right, he's like a mutant. Uh, he's essentially a nice guy, but he's driven to violence by the society he inhabits.
Oh, right. Who's that, then?
Ah, now that's Doktor Mandrake.
DOK-tor Mandrake, it's got a 'K' in it. He's like a mad scientist, ya-ok, and he invented this steroid called oxypheromalkahyde, and he tested it on this orphan kid, but -- nnn -- didn't work, did it? So he chucked out all his research, chucked the kid out onto the street, and, but get this, here's the thing, when the kid reached puberty, the dormant oxypheromalkahyde in his blood-stream interrupted his DNA coding and he mutated into The Bear. So now, Doktor Mandrake has dedicated his entire life to capturing The Bear to rediscover the effects of oxypheromalkahyde.
