Peter knows that he can’t take on all of the Insidious Six once more without his spider-powers, though he doesn’t have a choice with Aunt May being held captive. He goes down to their meeting area in a final battle, in which he’s captured with little effort. After being unmasked, no one believes that Peter Parker is Spider-Man after his pitiful fight against them; they assume that he put on a Spider-Man costume to save his Aunt May. They decide to have him lead them to the real Spider-Man, though Peter steals some of Mysterio’s holo-cubes, and uses them to escape. He then, sets out to turn the Insidious Six against one another in an attempt to break them up as a group, which will make them easier to take down. | There are no foreign summaries for this episode Contribute Here |

| Spider-Man: C'mon, doc! My powers came back, and I feel great! How bad can the test results be?
Dr. Connors: This bad. The mutagenic factor in your blood has undergone another transformation.
Spider-Man: Did you say "mutagenic" as in "mutant"?
Dr. Connors: I'm afraid that's right. As near as I can tell, whatever turned you into Spider-Man was not a one-time process.
Spider-Man: The beginning? Of what?
Dr. Connors: Your D.N.A. is changing. It's exhilarating. And while I can't tell you exactly what your D.N.A. is changing you into, one thing's already clear: it won't be human. | The Shocker: Time for shock therapy. Just what the doctor ordered. | The Kingpin: (to Silvermane) You see it with your own eyes, assuming they have not failed you yet, old man. | Doctor Octopus: (to Mysterio) Your mind is as empty as that fishbowl on your head. | The Shocker: I'm shocked, and you're going to be too. | Spider-Man: (about the Insidious Six) Do you really think he's going to show up with the six of you standing around like lawn furniture? | The Shocker: What happened to that kid, Parker? Did he go splat or what?
Spider-Man: I took care of that snitch, Parker, and now, I'm going to take care of you. (to himself) For starters, I might just drown you in nervous sweat. | Spider-Man: (after crashing into the window of a building) Smooth; just as I planned it. | Spider-Man: (to Silvermane, unbeknownst that he's a crime-lord) So, how'd you get dragged into this?
Silvermane: I'm very wealthy. They said they were holding me for ransom.
Spider-Man: You got to hand it to those guys; they've never met a crime they didn't like. |

| Weren't the Insidious Six curious as to how Peter Parker got the webbing, even though they were convinced that he wasn't really Spider-Man? | Silvermane is obviously really old, so it seems odd that he was able to go web-slinging with Spider-Man and hang for his life by a wire connected to a helicopter without having a heart-attack from fear. |

| In this episode, Spider-Man battles the Insidious Six, and fails horribly, where he is then unmasked by Doc Ock. Though, his performance is terrible, so no one believes that Peter Parker is really Spider-Man. This same scenario occured in the Amazing Spider-Man, issue 12, in which Spider-Man has the flu, so Doc Ock easily defeats him and unmasks him. Due to his terrible fight, he is believed to be imitating Spider-Man. | Spider-Man: (while lowering Silvermane down a chimney) I'm sorry about this, but if you say "ho, ho, ho" real loudly, you won't get stuck.
Spider-Man is making a reference to Santa Claus, the centuries-old mythological character who is said to deliver presents to children on the night of Christmas Eve (December 24) by climbing down the chimney. |
