But an ECHO agent, named Max London informs him, that his mentor, Adam Quill is dead and that he is the only one who can help the agency to find out who killed him. At that moment a group of men try to kill Lorne but Max helps him. Micah Simms, ECHO's director, assigns Max and Lorne to the mission. Together they find out that Quill is not dead and that he wants to kill the President using a bomb called "The Eradicator". This bomb kills only living organisms and is very powerful. They check the house of the man who created it but are caught. They face death but survive. Than they go to the plane that will be flying over the President's party and stop Quill to kill the President and his guests.
After that Lorne is assigned as Max's partner, even though he doesn't like partners. He will have to learn to work in a team and have confidence in someone.
