Episode Quotes
Dana: (to Cody whose looking into a telescope) What are you doing, looking for your home planet?
Cody: (looking into the telescope) No, we're just scoping out the universe. Hey I think I see Saturn.
Mark: Are you sure?
Cody: Well it has yellow rings, check it out.
Mark: (after looking at what Cody saw) Cody, that's McDonald's.
Cody: No way, they opened one up on Saturn? Those dudes are everywhere.

Dana: What are you doing here and don't tell me it's to take the S.A.T's?
Cody: WOW, that was gonna be my answer.

Al: (to Mark if he squeals on them) We'll kill you and bury you in the backyard.

Carol: (while organizing the book shelf) Uh OH, somebody put a mystery in the Travel and Leisure section.

Cody: Oh, please Uncle Frank don't let them make me a brain surgeon.

Analysis
Cody's NOT a spaced out moron, he's a spaced out Genius?

Cody, the ever spaced out Nephew, is revealed in this episode to be a (borderline) genius when he scores higher than Dana on the SAT's. And then promptly does it again when Dana demands a rematch, so to speak. The second time around though only made it clear that Cody was, apparently, smarter than the girl who thinks she needs to be the smart one.

This is such a typical storyline from the minds that also brought us Waldo Faldo. They don't want you to think that Cody is a spaced out pot-head, which he acts like, so they make him some kind of hidden genius. Although they failed to ever explain why Cody is the way he is (his father is normal) and as the series went on it became something of a running joke. Which doesn't dismiss the need to fill in this this planet sized plot hole, this episode makes it ever more glaring a need.
