The funny part in this episode was JT said about Mr. Fritz
JT: Hey, Dana Mr. Fritz looks like you. But only with better legs. Oh, yourself. you can notice only person's stuffs Mr. Fritz did not eat or destroyed or touch was JT's stuffs, Mr. Fritz got everybody else except for JT. The end funny part was when with Al and Brendan when Al and Brendan was trying to get Mr. Fritz to go get the stick that Al threw that didn't work or go catch the Frisbee that Al threw and Mr. Fritz did not go after it, when Mark came out Mr. Fritz chase after him, Mr. Fritz chased Mark away. And It's an Brendan and Al high five.
Frank: In a few minutes I will have a complete wing assembly for a B-17 flying fortress. Ohhh I tell ya this almost better than sex... (Carol gives him a certain look) ...with my first wife.
Carol: Good save Frank, I thought for a moment I was gonna have to do damage to your landing gear.
(Mark and JT are playing Monopoly while Dana watches)
Mark: Ah Ha, that's Boardwalk, you owe me 6000 dollars.
JT: 6000 dollars? I'm afraid I'm a little short.
Dana: You're ugly too but you still him the money. OHHHH.
(Cody, Brendan and Al run in trailing Mr. Fritz)
Carol: What is that?
Al: It's Mr. Fritz
Frank: A dog named Mr. Fritz?
Cody: Yeah, that's how he was introduced to us. Maybe after we get to know him a little better he'll tell us his first name.
Carol: Oh you guys tricked me, this isn't a dog it's a Buick with fur.
JT: You know Dana this is amazing, Mr. Fritz looks exactly like you only with better legs.
Cody: (talking to Mr. Fritz) So when I was 14 I demolished my first building, course that one was an accident.
'Coleman' calls to inform Frank that he and and the wife are staying in Florida forever and the Foster-Lambert's can keep Mr. Fritz. Prompting Frank to slam down the phone in frustration, leaving the phone laying on the cradle but not securely in it, moments later we see the phone a second time and it's is hung up properly. But Frank nor Carol couldn't have done it.
Dallas: Carol is sitting in Frank's lap helping him do a crossword when the clue is Texas City, six letters. Carol spells out the word D-a-l-l-a-s but poor Frank is clueless. This is of course a rather obvious reference to Patrick Duffy's former Friday night hit series, the soap Dallas.
Poltergiest: When the new neighbors come for a visit at the end of the episode it is revealed they've adopted Mr. Fritz. Prompting Dana to say "He's baaaack". Referencing the famous line from the cult classic film, Poltergiest.
Cujo: Frank refers to Mr. Fritz as this after he finds his model airplane destroyed. The reference is to the killer dog from the novel (and horrible movie) by Stephen King.
Siegfried & Roy: Carol attempts to train Mr. Fritz at the end of the episode. But when it becomes clear that it's not working, Brendan refers to the famous animal trainers as the only way to get the out of control dog to obey.
Carol on another trip...
It's truly amazing to see the SBS writers continue to pump out episodes that portray their lead characters as insane. This time though it's not JT or Frank who loose their marbles in pursuit of something, we get another dose of Carol's special brand of insanity. She loses it over a dog and with virtually no explanation as to why.
We seriously went from her not wanting a dog to her preferring the dog in bed with her over Frank. Has she been checked for some kind of mental illness? She also fixes a grand stew for the dog and fish sticks for the family. Who does this and isn't already committed? If this wasn't a sitcom I'd be worried about the sanity of the person.
