Episode Quotes

JT: Forget it Dad, I have interest in student government. I have better things to do with my time.
Dana: Like detention.

(JT responding to one of his friend whining about the candidates promises)
JT: Yeah I want shorter library hours and a topless bar in the cafeteria.

Carol: ...but geez, you know, we've been trying to get our kids to get along for over a year and now because of this election they're acting like they hate each other.
Frank: Carol that's not acting, they do hate each other.

Episode Goofs

Carol refers to an earlier time when Cody ate peaches for a whole week (02x02 S.A.T. Blues) but instead of saying he ate peaches for an entire week she comments that he ate peaches for an entire month. There in lies the goof.

Cultural References

Diane Sawyer Dana calls her mother this when thanking Carol, who was trying to stay neutral in the president's race, for reporting the facts. Diane Sawyer is of course a long time ABC anchor of Good Morning America and PrimeTime Live

Michael Dukakis Carol refers to the failed former Democratic nominee for President of the United States in 1988 when assuring her daughter that losing in the polls doesn't mean anything. Dukakis is famous for having a fairly large lead in the polls leading up to Election night only to lose rather easily to his opponent, George H.W. Bush.

Episode References

Carol: He's Cody he ate peaches for a whole month...

Carol referencing an earlier episode (02x02 S.A.T. Blues) when Cody claimed to have eaten peaches for a whole week (not a month) as a way of trying something new.
