Karen meets a smart guy she wants to ask her out but fears she's not smart enough for him. But turning to Dana to get her to talk to him turns out to be a horrible idea when Dana steals the guy instead of talking him into going out with Karen.

Meanwhile, Frank resistance to dancing has Carol seriously upset with him and eventually forces him to turn to Cody for dance lessons.

Episode Quotes

(Cody walks into the kitchen and see Dana reading)
Cody: So whatcha doing?
Dana: I was reading.
Cody: (looking at the book Dana was reading) Whoa, a brief history of time. I wonder if they got a brief history of newsweek?
Dana: It's not about Time magazine. It's about the theory of relativity and the origins of the universe.
Cody: Whoa, the great mysteries of life. I ponder quite a few of those myself. Like, what really was the purpose of stone henge? How did they build the great pyramids? Why did Thurston Howell the third take so much luggage on a three hour tour?
Dana: Here's something I've pondered, why won't you leave me alone?
Cody: OHHHHH, good question.

Carol: OH, Frank, just give me three good reasons why you won't dance and I'll drop the whole thing.
Frank: I hate it. I can't do it. And when I try I feel like a complete fool.
Carol: Well, those are pretty thin excuses.

Frank: Honey I'm warning you, my mom tried to teach me how to dance when I was thirteen. That's why she has that limp.

(Dana walks in on Cody teaching Frank to dance)
Dana: I don't have time right now but later I'm gonna have a lot of questions.

Cody: Hey if I can dance anyone can.
Frank: You know how to dance?
Cody: Yeah Buddy, I do the Tango, the Mambo, The Samba, The Cha Cha Cha, the Foxtrot and a pretty mean Bosanova, if I do say so myself.
Frank: Where did you learn all of that?
Dana: Well I was supposed to take guitar lessons but I went in the wrong building.

Episode Goofs

In the scene with Michael at the 50's Cafe when he accuses Dana of being fourteen why doesn't she just show him her drivers license?

Analysis

Frank's Resistance

Why is it that Frank tends to have to be drug, usually while kicking and screaming, into the 20th century (anything new)? This is a trait of the character that can be played up for comedic effect but it's also like JT's ''shut down brain say/do anything to get girl' syndrome, it gets old after a while. Though this particular instance was rather funny, going back to it to often (an SBS trait) is one of the reasons why people stopped watching sitcoms in the first place.
