Step by Step: Prom Night

JT's search for a date for Senior Prom ends when his friend agrees to set-up with his sister, what JT thinks is a swimsuit model, turns out to be the buddy's 13 year old sister, Eleanor. On the other hand, Dana, seems to have struck gold with her pick, but it too is not as it appears.

Meanwhile, Brendan beats up a boy for cheating off him and Frank and Carol invite the boy's family over to sort out the mess. Only to find out that the parents are worse than their son.

Episode Quotes
Karen: Any luck finding a date to the Senior Prom, JT?
JT: No!
Karen: Well that's OK, I'm not going to the prom either. Of course that's because I'm going steady with a college guy, so I won't be humiliated being alone like you.
Dana: Hey I saw a dead possum out on Route 12. Maybe you could ask her. Nah, she'd probably turn you down.
JT: Yeah like the guys wanna take your boney butt somewhere, huh?
Dana: Well, as a matter of fact, I'm going with the most gorgeous guy in the Senior class, Jeff Brock.
JT: Jeff Brock? No way he's dating Pam Taylor.
Dana: Correction, he was dating Pam taylor.
JT: Unbelieveable. He dumps a cheerleader with an incredible body to go out with Francis the Talking Mule.

Brendan: Sometimes I wish Carol was one of those girls from American Gladiators.
Frank: Me too son.

(Dana comes down the steps in her Prom dress)
Karen: Dana you look so beautiful.
JT: Yeah, you're definitely gonna win the best in breed contest (begins howling like a dog).
Dana: Sending out a mating call for your date, JT?

Cody: (talking about JT's date, Eleanor) Come on, JT man, take a look at her (opens the door and looks at Eleanor in the living room) AWWWW, look at that, she got all dressed up for you. She did her hair, stuffed her bra, she's even got a little purse to match her little shoes.

Cultural References
Francis the Talking Mule: JT refers to Dana as this after she reveals that she got a date with hottest guy in Senior class. 'Francis' is actually based on a book by David Stern and later 7 1950's comedy movies.

Joey Lawrence: Cody suggests that JT could transform himself into the former star of the series, Blossom, and then he could get any girl he wanted. Joey Lawrence is actually a successful actor whose appeared on a number of series over the years.

American Gladiators: Brendan wishes Carol could be more like the women on the show. The series actually ran from 1989 to 1996 and was hosted by Mike Adamle.

The Love Connection: Cody suggests that he should be the new host of the long running syndicated game show. Hosted through out it's entire run by Chuck Woolery.
