Dana gets the chance to teach a remedial history class (at Kennedy High School) with a teaching partner, which turns out to be Cody. The class is soon signed up by Cody to appear on a local quiz show with opponents that maybe just be to smart for the kids.

Meanwhile, Carol's usual case of compulsion takes to new heights when the kids try to help around the house but can't satisfy her. Leading Brendan to believe he's hurting the baby by not doing enough.

Episode Quotes

Dana: Hey guys, guess what. The greatest thing happened to me today.
JT: Well, congratulations, did you finally out grow that training bra?
Dana: Hey JT, that's real funny for a grease ball, slacker with no future and inflatable girlfriend.

(Cody comes in wearing a cheese hat and carrying a air horn)
Cody: I bet you'll never guess who your teaching partner is.
Dana: OH god, that's impossible.
Cody: OK, I'll give you a hint. He lives in your driveway, he's wearing a cheese hat and carrying an airhorn.
Dana: This isn't fair.
Cody: Dude, it's me. Man I thought the cheese hat was a dead give away.

JT: Dad with all due respect. You're married to a psycho.
Frank: Tell me about it.

Carol: Frank, Frank, wake up.
Dana: (Frank snaps awake) I'm sorry Mommy it's not my magazine.
Dana: Frank, I think I hear something downstairs.
Dana: Honey go back to sleep it's probably nothing.
Carol: What if it's a burgular, all armed and dangerous and all hopped up on drugs and ready to shoot anything that moves? Go check.
Frank: I checked the last time it was an armed burgular, hopped up on drugs ready to shoot anything that moves. It's your turn.
Carol: Frank, you're a man, now act like the man and do what I tell you to do.

Cultural References

David versus Goliath: Cody compared the kids battle on the quiz show to this famous battle from the bible.

Rocky: Cody references virtually all of the films when talking about how an underdog can overcome and win. The movies starred Sylvester Stallone.

Episode References

In the episode Videomania, Carol hears a noise downstairs and wakes Frank up to go see what is it. She does the same thing in this episode and even uses a similar line to demand that Frank go check it out. Frank even references the fact that she once used the same line when he says he did it last time.
