When everyone has dates and can't find any place to be alone, JT and Al stumble upon a plan. Using the newly opened Salon (after hours). But when it's Al and Drew's night, the others demand time too and instead of privacy it turns into a huge party paid for by JT's mental retardation.

Meanwhile, Carol sets Jean-Luc up on a blind date and finds him unwilling to even meet the girl. Though he does eventually give in.

Episode Quotes

Dana: Look I'm the oldest, now get out or I'm gonna have to get ugly.
JT: Too late.

Al: JT, why should I cover for Karen?
JT: Because this is the key to the love shack.
Al: What are you talking about?
JT: During the day it's a salon but at night when no one is there it's like having your own apartment. We could trade off nights. You and Drew could go up there one night and me and...what was the name of the girl I was making out with?
Al: Jessica?
JT: Right, Jessica. Me and Jessica could go there the next night.
Al: JT, I never thought I'd say this but you are a genius.

JT: Can we get to the real issue now?
Frank: And what, in your mind, is the real issue?
JT: That this whole thing would have never happened if we had some privacy and a place to take our dates to do, you know, things.
Frank: Oh so I get it. This is really our fault for not giving you your privacy?
JT: Duh!
(Carol holds Frank back)
Carol: You know Frank I think I understand. I mean it wasn't so long ago that you and I were teenagers and I remember what it was like to go on a date and want some privacy. So I tell you what, I tell you what. Frank and I will rent an apartment that you can all share. You can bring your boyfriends and girlfriends and do whatever you want and Frank and I just won't have to know about it.
Carol: Really?
JT: NO! Are you crazy? Do you want privacy? Grow up, get a job, move out, NOW CLEAN UP THIS SALON.

Episode Goofs

JT makes numerous copies of the salon key and sells them to anyone with 10 dollars. This is perhaps the most ludicrous goof in the history of the series. Being that in today's world, even in 1997, if you let someone you don't know have a key to a place chances are they would steal anything of value. But this is played off as goofy old JT and not as a boy who in reality needs serious psychological counseling and an IQ test.

Cultural References

Police Academy: The original movie was referenced by Jean-Luc when commenting on when he had his last date.

The Love Connection: The long-running, Chuck Woolery hosted game show, was vaguely referenced in this episode.
