Episode Notes
This is the second of Melanie Wilson's three, unrelated appearances on Step by Step. She can also be seen in season two's "One of the Guys" and season five's "What's Wrong with this Picture?".

CBS aborted their attempt at a competing TGIF-esque programming block with this episode. Along with Step by Step, Family Matters, the new series Meego and Gregory Hines show were all officially cancelled.

This episode has a similar plot as the Full House episode, "A House Divided".

Episode Quotes
Frank: Everybody I have got some fantastic news.
Dana: Home Depot is going into men's fashion's?
Frank: I wish.

Carol: (about Lilly) I'm worried about her. She's never acted like that before.
Al: OH relax, it's probably just more of these Lambert genes coming out. Carol, we all went a little postal at Lilly's age. I mean for my 7th birthday party I broke the pinata.
Carol: Well you're suppposed to do that.
Al: Yeah, but not over Bobby Preston's head.

Carol: Lilly it is not OK to throw paint on someone just because they won't let you use their crayons.
Lilly: Then when is it OK?
Carol: Never. And it's not OK to throw a ball on the roof either.
Dana: Mom, let me try and talk to her. I had two semesters of child psychology and I am good with children.
Al: That must be true. She is dating Rich.
