Nikki acts as matchmaker with Ava and Johnny, is afraid to get into yet another relationship. Bradin's sponsors are creating an image that he doesn't approve of and he considers quitting surfing. Bradin and Erika discuss their feelings for each other and the possibility of a relationship. Jay is put in a heart wrenching predicament. Ava tells Johnny she loves him and he finally makes a decision.

Jay: No I wouldn't. I couldn't. I don't know what's going to happen a year from now or ten years from now and I know I can't offer any guarantees but I'm trying.
Isabel Luna: Jay.
Jay: Please! Let me try.

Ava: Of course I do.
Nikki: But not with Johnny.
Ava: Johnny and I will always be friends but what we had…I just think too much has happened and… it just may be over.
| Jay: Susannah, she's pregnant. Isabel's pregnant.
Susanna: Wait Jay, are you all okay? Is she okay?
Jay: She's already a single mom struggling to make it work. Now this. I'm thinking no.
| Ava: We're different people now, and who we are now Johnny... I love you. I am totally and completely in love with you.
Johnny: Ava, if this is about me moving out...
Ava: Johnny, you could move out and move back in ten thousand times and it would not change the way that I feel. I mean anything can happen but if any two people know that it's us. But I just... I don't wanna keep going round and round and I don't... I don't wanna fight with you...
Johnny: I love you too. And I'm sorry I haven't been able to say it... it's just... with everything that's happened, I... been cautious.
Ava: I know.
Johnny: Are you okay?
Ava: Ya. I'm okay.
(They kiss)
