An unknown female warrior has recruited the Monkey Team to play in the worlds most dangerous game, Galactic Smash, after a cheat device has them pegged as the only ones who can save their world.
Chiro vanishes while Team Monkey returns back to Shugazoom. The team visits an old enemy who claims to have changed his ways, but all is not as it seems.
The Monkey Team discover an empty Shugazoom city occupied by wraiths, druid styled creatures. As Jinmay arrives to help out all seems well, until Chiro is turned into a Wraith and Valina returns to exact revenge on the Monkey Team.
The Skeleton King skull is stolen by a mysterious underground cult to gain supreme power and causes a series of curses upon Shuggazoom. The Hyperforce is sent in beneath the city to end the catastrophes. Meanwhile, Velina and Mandarin are sent out to look for the missing skull.
Velina, the Skull Sorceress is in search for three sacred items that represent her master's soul in order to revive the Skeleton King. Hyperforce and Jinmay seek out the items before Velina can find them. But the possession of the items may hold more than one power.
The Hyperforce are in a race against Mandarin, Valeena, and the evil Sprx to find the Soul of Evil, which will help revive the Skeleton King. Will they succeed or is Shugazoom and the universe doomed?
