Scooby-Doo, voiced by Don Messick
Scooby-Doo, the main character of the series, is a nice, sweet, naive, hungry and coward dog who is loved by all the gang.
Even if he is a dog, Scooby-Doo, called just Scooby for short, talks like a human and is treated like a human, not a pet. He only has one thing in common with a typical pet: he loves the dog food.
Scooby's best friend is Shaggy and they have a lot in common. In fact, Shaggy is like the human version of Scooby. One of this similarities is that they love eating. While Shaggy has a particular preference for big sandwiches, Scooby likes "Scooby Snax" (also known as Scooby Snacks).
Scooby is very naive. He fell in the trap of Weerd and Bogel and released the 13 ghosts. |

Scrappy-Doo, voiced by Don Messick
Considered by the fans of Scooby-Doo one of the most annoying characters of the whole series, Scrappy-Doo doesn't have an important role in the gang. He isn't the one who helps to solve the problems nor the courageous person who faces the monster. However, Scrappy isn't really mean. He's just "useless" for the gang.
Even if he doesn't face the monsters and ghosts, Scrappy is quite courageous and really active. He is constantly moving and talking, trying to help with ideas. However, he doesn't manage to help the gang.
Scrappy is considered by some fans as one of the 2 characters that ruined this series and made it last only thirteen episodes. |
