"The American Embassy" Summary |

Ohio native Emma Brody (Arija Bareikis) is starting her new career with the State Department. Her job is to act as the vice consul in the USA embassy in London England. Doug Roach (David Cubitt), is the CIA agent in London, Consul General Elque Polk (Jonathan Adams) is Emma’s boss, Deputy Chief Janet Westerman (Helen Carey) is the administrator, Vice Consul Carmen Jones (Davenia McFadden) and Vice Counsul Liz Shoop (Reiko Aylesworth) are fellow vice consuls in the embassy. Liz Shoop also has a closer connection to Brody, as they share a flat in London. Gary Forbush (Michael Cerveris) is a next-door neighbor who is the series cross-dressing Englishman (and musician). Jack Wellington (Jonathan Cake) is an English lord who appears to have his eye on Brody.
The series lasted a few episodes on FOX in the 2002 Spring television season and aired Mondays at 9pm EST for one hour.
The series is narrated by the character Emma Brody as she writes letters home.
