This is one of my favorites as well. I preferred the black and white episodes to the color ones, the show lost a lot when Don Knotts left. |

I agree. I Prefer the black and white episodes as well, and Don Knotts was awesome on the series!!!
I just seen a very funny episode yesteday on TVLand with Don Knotts where he was going to sing the lead role in a local music show but lost out to Gomer ..lol
It ws so funny when he was taking the voice lessons from that older woman and how he would be practicing his scales all of the time and driving every body nuts. |

Some of my favorite episodes were the ones that Ernest T. Bass were in. When he tried to enlist in the Army and when Andy and Barney were trying to pass him off as a sophisticated guy where priceless. |
