The Bad News Bears

Based upon the 1976 film of the same name that starred Walter Matthau, the show revolved around Morris Buttermaker who was working as a swimming pool cleaner. However, his temper soon landed him in court and the judge forced him to get another job, that of "volunteering" to coach the Hoover Junior High baseball team or going to jail. He decided to choose baseball and quickly discovered that the team was one of the worst he had ever seen and resolved they had no hope in ever winning a game since he rarely could get them to accomplish anything. Morris had another problem, he had actually dated the mother of the teams "star" pitcher Amanda Whirlitzer and she was always trying to get the two back together.
