Sharron Macready, played by Alexandra Bastedo
She's one of the best female lead characters from any TV show of the 1960s, perhaps even up until today. She is a very capable, intelligent, and resourceful agent and saves the day quite a few times. Sharron is most definitely not a junior, or inferior, member of the team. She is an equal member of the group and a top Nemesis agent. In fact there is no doubt that Craig and Richard benefit greatly from her presence because of her abilities, which are complemented by her being female which opens many more doors than her male counterparts could ever hope for. Her resourcefulness and importance to the success of the missions is nowhere more evident than in "Twelve Hours" where she uses her skills as a fully qualified doctor to operate on a dying man.
She joined Richard and Craig in "The Beginning" to help them acquire certain biological chemical warfare materials, proving straight from the start that she was much more than a pretty face. She is also very strong willed, as the audience sees many times. She can withstand any punishment, physical and mental. In many respects Sharron is shrewder than either Craig or Richard. Many times she outwits people by assessing a situation almost immediately. She is certainly not naive.
